TWC is heading to Spain!

Updated: Sep 16, 2022

Hello my dear friends! Once again it's Wednesday and here we are, sharing news and information about the world of wine. Today will mark the beginning of a series of posts related to our wineries in Spain, all of which are currently harvesting. And guess what? We are travelling to live that experience from very close. Yes, today we are heading to Spain!

Traveling is one of the most enriching experiences in life, it represents a change of vision about the world, about the culture and customs of people. It means opening up to new opportunities, new experiences and challenges. In addition traveling provides us with learning and resources that will help us have a much greater capacity of response in any daily situation. While exposed to new cultures and surroundings we can simply admire and enjoy the wonderful creations of Mother Nature and men. Discovering the origins, charms and the secrets of our passions makes everyone see and appreciate life in a different way.

For us, discovering the interiorities of wine, from the land to the barrel, is no different. Visiting the wineries we work with and seeing them in full action is something that undoubtedly fills us with pleasure and with more in-depth knowledge about their methods and context. Simply put, it gives us a totally different perspective on our portafolio. So here we go. Stay with us and be alert to our social media in the following 10 days so that you can also enjoy this new adventure.

We will leave for Madrid today and from there we will visit Avelino Vegas in D.O. Rueda, as well as Fuentespina in Ribera del Duero. Vega Clara, home of wines such as Mario and Dacán, will be our next stop. All the Vega Clara vineyards are located in Quintanilla de Onesimo and are part of the famous Golden Mile of the D.O. Ribera del Duero. In total, the territory that produces the wines of this denomination extends over more than 100 kilometers, following the basin of the river that gives name to the region. The whole area covers up to four provinces of Castilla y León: Burgos, Soria, Valladolid and Segovia. This is why we have dedicated an important part of our trip to this particular D.O..

We will also visit Rioja, invited by Bodegas Señorío del Libano, in Sajazarra. Without a doubt this will be a highlight of our trip! After this, we will spend a couple of days at Bodegas San Martin in Navarra after which we will head to Valencia to finish the tour in La Font de la Figuera. These are wineries associated with Anecoop, one of our best-known brands.

So much to come right? We wish you a happy rest of the week! Soon we will be posting from Madrid and we cannot wait... Let's meet again here next Wednesday and spill some wine! Until then... Santé!
