Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Dear friends, it's almost Thanksgiving day. November is the time to be thankful, a time to remember good things and to embrace those who enrich our lives. I'm thankful for a lot of things, but I'm most thankful for you, who have taken the time to be here, reading our blog or following us through social media, attending our wine dinners or buying our products for the special occasion. Thank you for supporting us and giving our brands and products the recognition that they deserve.

As many of you know, this has been our inception year. Reasonably, it has represented a great adjustment in many ways. However, from the beginning we have had the advice and support of our partner Classic Wines Global Logistics, to whose incredible team we extend our deepest thanks. A big thank you also to the wineries that we proudly represent, we are only honored by the opportunity to do what we love on a daily basis. To Vinícola Real, Anecoop Bodegas, Avelino Vegas, Monte Quieto and Vega Clara, thank you. Many thanks also to Mexcor International for their decisive contribution to our brands and sales.

This year, our celebrations may look different as many reunite with family they haven’t seen in nearly two years, others get together with a smaller crew, and some sign on to Zoom for the occasion. But there is one thing that doesn't need to change this year, it's the tradition of a great Thanksgiving toast. We want to recommend you a few wines which surely will enhance your toast and dinner.

For those who like a great rosé toast, we recommend you Flor de Unx. This is an excellent 'Cote de Provence' style of rosé made in Navarra, Spain. It's balanced in the mouth, creamy and voluptuous. On the palate it feels voluminous and reminds of fresh red fruit. Its acidity is perfectly integrated in the whole, leaving no sharpness. Vegas is another great option for your rosé treat. This wine is ideal to take as an aperitif. It combines with fish and seafood hors d'oeuvre, light meats and all kinds of rice dishes. We also recommend Le Champ des Grillons, a perfect rosé not just to start but to accompany a meal. Full-bodied in character, it pairs wonderfully with Mediterranean recipes and even Asian cuisine. A rich and elegant wine.

Of course that many of you will go for bubbles! Try L'Encert, a brut that shows clear and bright yellow color, with fine and persistent bubbles. On the nose it brings wildflower, bitter almond, citrus, apple, peach, apricot. It gives very floral and refreshing notes, with elegant aromas of jasmine. You will probably find also notes of green apple, pear, citrus, honeysuckle, peach, apricot, white currant, apple and lemon. It is very well balanced in terms of acidity and has a light finish. A great starter! Champagne Trudon Emblematis also offers some gourmet and accessible pleasure, designed to be tasted any time with trendy sweet and savoury dishes. It's a great aperitif, excellent with roasted meats in onions or small glazed vegetables. We suggest you to drink it at a temperature of 7 to 9°C.

For the reds... Well, this is difficult, we like so many! But what about the amazing Quietud by Monte Quieto? Soft and elegant, with sweet tannins which remind of raspberry jam. Its aftertaste is fruity with a hint of smoky oak. Well balanced and lingering finish. I think is perfect for the traditional turkey. KWV Pinotage is also a great fit! Rich and flavorful, this wine shows true varietal characteristics with aromas of black cherries. The sweet and juicy tannins are complemented with hints of chocolate and pomegranate. The palate is seductively soft and beguiling with a long and gentle finish. Give it a try! On the red side, if looking to impress your guests you could go for the incredible 200 Monges Selección Especial, Avelino Vegas 100 Aniversario, Enlace or F de Fuentespina.

And that's a wrap for today! Author Sarah Ban Breathnach’s quote on gratitude is how I want to finish today's post. It's also a great reminder for the table: “Real life isn’t always going to be perfect or go our way, but the recurring acknowledgment of what is working in our lives can help us not only to survive but surmount our difficulties.”

May your Thanksgiving be full of peace, love and joy!
